About Me
Hey, I'm Rebecca. Nice to meet you.
̌
Telling stories that matter.
An award-winning freelance writer and editor living in Baltimore, I am a contributing writer at Baltimore magazine and work full time in higher education marketing and communications. I grew up in Portland, Oregon, headed south to Los Angeles for college, and have lived in Charm City since 2012.
I have a master’s degree in communication management from Towson University, a graduate certificate in multimedia journalism from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park, and a bachelor’s degree in print and digital journalism from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
Whatever the media, I’m passionate about telling stories that matter in a thoughtful and engaging way. My work has been published in local, regional and national publications—check out my portfolio to see for yourself.
When I'm not writing, I'm most likely enjoying the outdoors or seeking out a pint at a local craft brewery.
